“We’re really looking forward to meeting our many new local fans and customers,” he said.

Part of Pet Me Happy’s mission is advocating pet adoption, Peeples said. “We’re grateful for the opportunity to support the Bow-Wows & Meows organization’s efforts.”

Admission to Sunday’s event is free for all, including dogs on leashes, and so is parking, on the Hart Park grounds.

Pet Me Happy at Bow-Wows & Meows 2016This year all six L.A. County animal shelters will bring around 200 adoptable pets for prospective pet parents to choose from.

Adoption fees will be discounted to just $30. All dog and cat candidates are already spayed or neutered, immunized, microchipped and ready for immediate adoption.

When they adopt a pet, new pet parents will also receive a goodie bag stuffed with pet supplies provided by select Bow-Wows & Meows vendors, including Pet Me Happy.

“We’re happy to provide sample-sized packages of our new Artisan Dog Treats for the goodie bags,” Stephen said.

Nonprofit rescue organizations including Best Friends Animal Society Los Angeles, the St. Bonnie’s Sanctuary, New Leash on Life and Boxer Rescue Los Angeles are also set to bring adoptable pets to Bow-Wows & Meows this year. Their adoption fees and requirements vary.

“We just might get lucky on Sunday,” Stephen said.

If Stephen, Nadine and Paige find the perfect pup at Bow Wows & Meows on Sunday, the KHTS crew headed by producer Melissa Lampert will catch the moment on video for a future segment of the feature.
